2007 and the snow is coming down

Excuse me, where am I? Texas? Or Colorado?

I woke up this morning to snow and sleet and another "winter storm warning." It's the only thing on the news this week, which I find terribly alarming and amusing. This wintry mix has already canceled one show in Austin yesterday...will tomorrow's Houston show be next? Let's hope not - I have songs to play!

2007 is shaping up to be an interesting year. We finally at long last have a right good tour planned for Italy - usually it is scattered shows here and there but this one is a downpour in the best way possible. I think we'll have about 15 shows plus a few radio interviews and articles once all is said and done - many thanks to Leonardo Ronzi of Soleblu, who worked his tail off to get us all booked up.

And then there's March/April...I'm working on another tour for Manuel and I and whomever else wants to come...as always the invite is open to the whole band, but as always, it is really hard to coordinate everyone's schedule. Alberto is playing a lot with his band (The Gumo - http://www.myspace.com/thegumo) and Juri is still taking beautiful photographs up in Milan, so it's hard to get everyone on a plane and across the sea. But we are still hoping that we'll be able to do a few shows as a band in America.

And then there's May...in which I am hoping to find myself playing shows in the Netherlands and Germany. That's all still very much in the planning stages, but I hope it works out - I have a lot of fans up there to whom I owe a visit!

What else? We've re-ordered t-shirts, so if you were looking for a size that we were out of, let me know! I think we have everything back in stock.

I'm trying to work on writing for the new EP but it is hard...it's always hard for me, after I've finished one album, to jump into the next one. It is such an exhausting process to write, record, design, release, promote, and tour behind an album that when it's done, I usually just want to, well, REST a bit...but since we have these tours coming up (which is good!) I don't see much rest on the horizon...so I'll either have to just get over it, or push back the idea of the EP a bit farther. I hope it's letter A, because I'd love to get this EP started this spring, while I have Anna Mascorella around to do cello and harmony vocals. She is fantastic and we really want to do this project with her.

So....tours in four countries in four months and a new album lurking under the surface...seems like that will pretty much keep me moving for the first half of 2006, right?

Come out the Houston and Dallas shows if you can do so without slipping and sliding all over the place... :)
Lots of love and thanks as always for listening.
