dear sweet blog!!!

My apologies to anyone who actually reads this thing....I have fallen off the face of the earth and am slowly clawing my way back onto the surface, gasping for oxygen all the while....

Maybe it's not quite that dramatic....but close. I have never been so busy (is that a good thing?). I flew home on Wednesday, which bled into Thursday, due to a night stranded in Detroit (made tolerable by a super-kind NWA employee who shall remain unnamed in order to protect her job - she hooked me up with a free hotel room as I lay dying of exhaustion at her feet). Really - the trip was Bologna/Paris/Boston/Detroit/Dallas (and I HATE flying)...my bags went Bologna/Amsterdam/Minneapolis/Dallas and just made it here yesterday. Whew.

Since I've been home, I've had 2 CD release shows and put in a 7 hour day in the studio (for Little Films) and tomorrow I leave for California, where I have 3 shows, including my first-ever in Los Angeles! Then I come back to Texas long enough to unpack from CA and repack for Italy, and I leave the next morning. Call me crazy. Sounds like fun, no?

But the good news here abounds. Little Films is sounding so darn good. Really. Salim says that the harmony choir we recorded for one track, Antihero, is one of the coolest things he has ever recorded, bar none. Now THAT makes me happy.
And Blackout was waiting for me as I stumbled wearily into the house on Thursday afternoon....so pick up your copy before they are all gone! Details are below.
Tell your friends in California that I am coming their way - I really want (need?) to have a good turnout at the show in L.A. ....
baci (which are kisses) and grazie (which of course means THANKS).
